You’ve loaves of bread at your home and you have them on your breakfast. But all of them are not always finished on time. Almost always you’ve some leftover bread. You won’t like to waste those because you’ve bought them after all. These questions might have come to your mind frequently such as how to make use of leftover bread, or what do I do with leftover bread? or what should I do with leftover bread?

That’s why I’ll discuss 10 ways to use leftover bread here.

How to Use Leftover Bread

I’ll discuss some easy leftover bread recipes here that you’re going to love. So, let’s start learning. 

1. Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

  • Butter- 50 gm
  • Loaf of Bread- 1
  • Eggs- 5
  • Sugar- 3 tablespoon
  • Vanilla Essence- 1 teaspoon
  • Milk- 350 ml

Powdered or Icing Sugar- 1 Cup or to taste

Machines & Instruments: 

  • An Electric Oven
  • Whisk (optional)
  • An Ovenproof Dish
  • A Large Bowl 
  • Teaspoon
  • Tablespoon
  • Measuring Cup

Preparation Time  

Mixing Time- 10 minutes.

Baking Time-  Around 30 minutes.

Total Time- Around 40 minutes.

Procedure:

Step #1

Butter Up the Ovenproof Dish

Butter up your ovenproof baking dish with your fingertips or with a brush.

Step #2

Mixing Up All the Ingredients

Take all the mentioned ingredients in the mentioned quantities except the loaf of bread in a mixing bowl and mix well with a whisk or fork or tablespoon. 

Step #3

Baking the Pudding

Tear or cut the loaf of bread into cubes and put it into the buttered-up ovenproof dish. Any kind of loaf of bread will do such as Artisan bread, Baguette bread, Ciabatta, Dinner rolls, French Bread, Sugar bread, or White rustic. Except for Oregano & Parmesan because they can change the flavor. 

Now, pour down the above liquid mixture. Press the bread a bit so that it soaks all the ingredients well. Put the baking dish into your electric oven to 350° F for about 30 minutes. 

Sprinkle some icing sugar over the pudding when it’s done if you like. 

2. Mega Cheesy Bread

Ingredients:

  • Loaf of Bread 1
  • Butter 50 gm
  • Olive Oil 2-3 tablespoons
  • Garlic 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • Thymes A bit of
  • Red Chilly Flakes To taste
  • Black Pepper Powder To taste
  • White Pepper Powder To taste
  • Paprika Powder To taste
  • Cheddar Cheese Some slices
  • Regional Salted Cheese powder As per your requirement
  • Mozzarella Cheese As per your requirement

Machines & Instruments: 

  • An Electric Oven
  • An Aluminum Foil
  • A Small Bowl
  • A Sharp Knife
  • A Baking Tray

Preparation Time:  

  • Mixing Time- 10 minutes
  • Baking Time- Around 20 minutes
  • Total Time- Around 30 minutes

Procedure:

Step #1

Cutting the Loaf of Bread

Cut the loaf of bread into slices without cutting through. 

Step #2

Stuffing the Bread

Melt butter, add all the mentioned spices, and other ingredients in the mentioned quantities in a small bowl, and pour into each slice. Then stuff the bread with the mentioned cheese types or the cheese types you like. 

Step #3

Baking the Mega Cheesy Bread

Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and put it on a baking tray and bake in the oven for around 20 minutes at 350°F. 

3. Bread Patties

Ingredients:

  • Loaf of Bread 1
  • Onion 1
  • Cloves of Garlic 1-2
  • Eggs 2-3
  • Thymes A bit of
  • Red Chilly Flakes To taste
  • Black Pepper Powder To taste
  • White Pepper Powder To taste
  • Paprika Powder To taste
  • Oil To fry
  • Salt To taste

Yogurt To serve

Machines & Instruments: 

  • A Gas Oven
  • A Large Bowl
  • A Fork
  • A Nonstick Frying Pan or any other Frying Pan

Preparation Time:  

  • Mixing Time- 10 minutes
  • Frying Time-  5 minutes
  • Total Time-   Around 15 minutes

Procedure:

Step #1

Tearing the Bread and Chopping Other Ingredients

Tear the bread into small pieces and finely chop the onion and garlic. 

Step #2

Forming Patties

Mix other ingredients with the above things, mash them well with your cleaned hands and give them small shapes of patties. 

Step #3

Take a nonstick frying pan on your gas oven. Put a little oil there to fry these patties. You can also take a normal frying pan, but you’ll need more oil to fry then. 

You can make around 20 patties with this recipe. After you’ve fried these patties, serve them in a dish with yogurt sauce. Mix the mentioned spices with the yogurt to prepare this sauce.

4. Bread Pizza or Bread Gratin

Ingredients:

  • Loaf of Bread 1
  • Milk 300 ml
  • Oil 2 tablespoon
  • Salt To taste
  • Eggs 2-3
  • Thymes A bit of
  • Red Chilly Flakes To taste
  • Black Pepper Powder To taste
  • White Pepper Powder To taste
  • Paprika Powder To taste
  • Dill A bit of
  • Spicy Sausage Some
  • Corn As per your requirement
  • Olives As per your requirement
  • Cheese As per your requirement

  • An Electric Oven
  • Tablespoon
  • A Sharp Knife
  • A Large bowl 
  • A Large Baking Dish

Preparation Time:  

  • Mixing Time- 10 minutes
  • Baking Time-  20 minutes
  • Total Time-     Around 30 minutes

Procedure:

Step #1

Preparing the Base and Topping

Take a baking dish and tear or cut the lofe of bread into small pieces. Cut the spicy sausages and olives into small pieces with a knife. Mix these pieces of sausages, olives, corn, and cheese with the pieces of bread. You can also add other ingredients as you like for the topping. 

Step #2

Preparing the Liquid Mixture

Pour milk into a bowl. Add salt, oil, other spices, dill (if you like), and eggs to it. Now, mix all of these ingredients well using a tablespoon. 

Step #3

Baking Bread Pizza or Bread Gratin

Pour the liquid mixture on the base and topping. Press a bit so that all ingredients are soaked well. Now, put this baking dish into the oven to 350° F for 20 minutes to bake or until it’s golden brown. 

5. French Toast

Ingredients:

  • Eggs-  2
  • Loaf of Bread 1
  • Milk 1 Cup
  • Vanilla Essence ½ Teaspoon
  • Cinnamon Powder ½ Teaspoon
  • Sugar To taste
  • Oil To fry

Machines & Instruments: 

  • A Small Bowl
  • A Nonstick or any other Frying Pan
  • Teaspoons
  • Measuring Cup
  • A Fork
  • A Gas Oven

Preparation Time:

  • Mixing Time 5 minutes
  • Frying Time 2 minutes
  • Total Time around 7 minutes

Procedure:

Step #1

Cutting the Bread According to Your Choice

You can take Sugar bread for this recipe, then you won’t need to add extra sugar for the sweetness. Cut the loaf of bread according to your choice. You can cut in triangular slices or squares, the way you like. 

Step #2

Prepare the Batter

Take a bowl and pour a cup of milk, and add vanilla essence and cinnamon powder to it. Mix all of them using a fork. 

Step #3

Frying the French Toast

Dip the slices of bread into the above batter and soak them well. Then take them out and fry them in a bit of oil in a nonstick frying pan in your gas oven. 

6. Crostini

Ingredients:

  • Loaf of Bread 1
  • Chive or Basil Pesto As per your requirement
  • Garlic As per your requirement
  • Oil As per your requirement
  • Parmesan Cheese As per your requirement

Instruments: 

  • A Sharp Knife
  • A Small Bowl
  • A Butter Knife

Preparation Time:

  • Mixing Time 5 minutes
  • Total Time around 7 minutes

Procedure:

It’s so simple. Just take the loaf of bread and slice them. Mix chive or basil pesto with chopped garlic, oil, and parmesan cheese in a small bowl with a tablespoon. Now spread this pesto with a butter knife on the bread slices. Your crostini is done. 

7. Croutons

Ingredients:

  • Loaf of Bread 1/4
  • Garlic Small slices
  • Olive Oil As per your requirement
  • Salt To taste

Pepper To taste

Machines & Instruments: 

  • An Electric Oven
  • A Sharp Knife
  • A Baking Tray

Preparation Time:

  • Mixing Time 5 minutes
  • Baking Time 5 minutes
  • Total Time   around 10 minutes

Procedure:

Tear the loaf of bread into small pieces and mix the above ingredients to it on a baking tray. Now put it in the oven at 375°F for 5 minutes until they are golden brown. 

8. Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • Parsley As per your requirement
  • Sage As per your requirement
  • Rosmery As per your requirement
  • Thyme As per your requirement
  • Celery As per your requirement
  • Chicken Broth To soak the ingredients
  • Loaf of Bread ¼
  • Salt To taste
  • Black Pepper To taste
  • Melted Butter As per your requirement

Instruments: 

  • A Large Bowl
  • A Sharp Knife
  • A Tablespoon

Preparation Time:

  • Mixing Time   5 minutes
  • Total Time around 5 minutes

Procedure:

Tear the loaf of bread into small pieces, and mix all of the above ingredients with it. You are done with your stuffing. 

9. Bread Noodles

Ingredients:

  • Loaf of Bread ¼
  • Chicken Broth To soak the bread pieces well 
  • Black Pepper To taste
  • Salt To taste

Instruments: 

  • A Small Bowl
  • A Sharp Knife

Preparation Time:

  • Mixing Time 5 minutes
  • Total Time About 5 minutes

Procedure:

 Cut the loaf of bread into pieces with a sharp knife and soak them in the chicken broth. Add some black pepper and salt to taste.

10. Bread Crumbs

This is the easiest of all. During preparing all these recipes or whenever you slice or cut bread, you’ll get bread crumbs. Just store these in an air-tight container and you can use them while preparing various dishes like chicken nuggets, and cutlets for months after months.
