Step-by-Step Process of Making Spanish Bread
Take a bowl and add yeast, warm water, and one teaspoon of sugar to it. Mix them well, then wait for 10 minutes so that the yeast becomes active. If the size of the mixture becomes double, which means the yeast is active.
Take another bowl and add flour, sugar, and salt to the bowl. After that, it’s time to add milk, melted butter, beaten eggs, and a mixture of yeast to the bowl. Mix them well until it becomes smooth batter. If you need to add more water or flour, you can do that.
Take the third number bowl and grease it with oil. Wrap the bowl with a plastic cover and wait for 3 hours until the dough doubles.
After the dough doubles, it’s time to start the fourth step. Split the dough into two equal portions. Shape the dough into two long logs and cut each into eight similar pieces. Roll up each piece to create a sheet 3 inches by 5 inches.
Roll up the sheet like a jelly roll. Brush with melted butter, then dust with sugar and breadcrumbs. Start from one corner, and roll toward the opposing corner. Top the rolled tough with more breadcrumbs and sugar. Arrange the pieces seam-side down on an oiled baking sheet.
Prepare your oven. Prepare the oven by setting it to 375 degrees.
Let’s wait for another 30 minutes so that the rolls can rise
After the rolls have become more prominent in size, it’s time for baking. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until the rolls become golden brown.
